Among the world’s largest 500 companies, only 10.9% of senior executives are women, which is a shame considering that studies have found that diversity helps make companies profitable, innovative and respected. One independent survey showed that having women at the C-Suite level significantly increases net margins and another, discovered that women in top management produce 20% more patents than teams with male leaders.

A report published by Nordea demonstrated that over the past eight years, companies with a female CEO or chairperson of the board of directors, averaged an annualised return double that of the MSCI World Index i.e. you would have outperformed the market if you had invested in a company helmed by a woman.
