Julius Baer named ‘Best Market Maker’ by the Swiss Derivative Awards for the sixth time
In what’s become a welcome winning habit, Julius Baer carried off the honours as ‘Best Market Maker’ in the category ‘leveraged products’ at this year’s Swiss Derivatives Awards for the third year running.
To win an award once is a laudable achievement, but to stay ahead of the competition six years, three of them in a row, takes a special kind of dedication. That’s the serial-winning attitude that the Julius Baer trading team have shown by walking off with the ‘Best Market Maker’ prize once again at this year’s 19th annual presentation of the Swiss Derivative Awards. The winners were announced at Zurich’s AURA event hall on Thursday, 11 April 2024.
Known as ‘The Oscars for Structured Products’, the awards recognise outstanding and innovative products as well as special achievements in the Swiss market for structured products. The aim is to promote the holistic understanding and acceptance of structured products in the long term, with the jury singling out companies for their performance, customer service and expertise in various categories of the derivatives market.
Patric Rippstein, Head Equity Volatility & Funds Market Making, took great pride in his team’s cycle of success: “To win the award once again this year is a mark of the team’s commitment to continuous improvement. Every year, set out to find new ways of further enhancing the service we provide to our clients. We’re honoured that this has been recognised and we’d like to sincerely thank our clients for their continued trust in us.”
