The 15th edition of the Swiss Derivative Awards recognised the best products and special services in the Swiss market for structured products. The awards are voted for by a jury of independent, experienced experts from Switzerland that combines both practical and theoretical knowledge and is chaired by Prof. Dr. Marc Oliver Rieger of the University of Trier. For the first time, the prizes were awarded via video message as a result of COVID-19.
The Swiss Derivative Awards are intended to increase the holistic understanding and acceptance of structured products in the long term, and are organised exclusively by payoff.ch and Derivative Partners Ltd.
In the category Leverage Products, Julius Baer won first place as the "Best Market Maker" for the second consecutive year. The Bank distinguished itself through consistent quality in the pricing of warrants in the secondary market on the SIX. Fair pricing was of utmost importance, especially in this very volatile market environment. For investors, fair prices in the secondary market are an essential element of a good investment product.
Patric Rippstein, Head Equity Volatility Trading Julius Baer, said: "The interests of our investors are paramount and this award underscores our continued commitment to providing outstanding service to our warrant clients. We are very proud of the recognition and thank our clients and partners for their confidence in us".
