What does this mean for you?
SIX Swiss Exchange has significantly expanded the time during which structured products can be traded. With the new hours running from 8:00 to 21:45 CET, you can now access certain Julius Baer investment products nearly six hours longer than before. This development brings Switzerland in line with other leading European exchanges and reflects the growing demand for more flexible ways to invest.
For Julius Baer, the extended hours apply specifically to our quoted warrants, mini-futures, knock-out warrants and single structured products.
React to opportunities beyond traditional hours
Global markets move quickly, often outside standard Swiss trading times. With Asian markets influencing early-morning sentiment and US markets open until 22:00 CET, important price changes can occur throughout the day and evening.
The extended trading hours allow you to:
- Respond to market developments later in the day, such as earnings releases, geopolitical events, or macroeconomic announcements.
- Trade after work, giving you more freedom to manage your investments at a time that suits you.
- Stay aligned with global market activity, whether you follow Asian or US markets.
This additional flexibility puts you in greater control of your investment decisions, especially when managing leveraged products such as warrants, mini-futures, and knock-out warrants.
Benefits for retail investors
The longer trading window provides more convenient access for investors who prefer to monitor markets outside regular office hours. It also offers a clearer, regulated alternative to off-exchange trading venues, giving you confidence and transparency when executing transactions.
